What you receive
When you buy, you get a licence key and a download link by email. The download is the complete source code with its setup guide and licence file. The code is yours to keep, change and deploy.
Where it runs
RevGrow is a modern web app in two halves. The app you see runs on Vercel. The backend, which holds your database, server logic, file storage and sign-in, runs on Convex. Convex Cloud is the default because it handles scaling, uptime and routine backups for you, so you never manage a database server.
You own the source for both halves. If you would rather run the backend on your own servers, Convex offers a self-hosted runtime. That path takes more work and is entirely optional.
Before you start
- Node.js 22 or newer on your computer. Check with
node --version. If the command is not found, install the LTS version from nodejs.org first. A missing Node install is the most common reason the first command fails. - A Convex account for the backend. The free tier is enough for a small agency.
- A Vercel account for the app. The free tier is enough to start.
- A domain you control, so the platform runs on your brand. Each client can add their own domain later for their public pages and email links.
- An email service such as Postmark or SendGrid for confirmations, reminders and notifications.
- Optional, when you need them: Twilio or Telnyx for calls and texts, and Stripe if you bill clients.
Two ways to install
- Launchpad, the guided setup that ships with RevGrow. It takes you from a fresh download to a live platform one step at a time. See the Launchpad page.
- Your coding assistant. Open the project in a tool such as Claude Code and ask it to set things up. The included instructions tell it what to configure, and it works through them with you.
You can mix the two. Either way, the setup guide lists every account you create and every value you set.
How long it takes
Allow a couple of hours the first time. Most of it is creating accounts, pasting in keys and waiting for your email domain to verify. Those are one-time jobs.
What it costs to run
You pay your own providers directly, at their rates. Small operations often start on free tiers. Usage-based services such as email, texting and AI are billed by those providers, and you can rebill that usage to your clients at your own markup.
Would rather not run it yourself? A hosted plan where we run the hosting, updates and backups for you is coming later.
